Physiotherapy close to Easterhouse

From Easterhouse, Coatbridge is closer than most people think. Two stops on the train or a quick drive east brings you to Chapman Physiotherapy & Performance on Cameron Street, where Kieran Chapman offers private physiotherapy for aches, injuries and recovery after surgery.

Kieran is an HCPC registered physiotherapist with experience in MSK physiotherapy, orthopaedics, neurological physiotherapy and cardiac rehab. That range means he is as comfortable working on a pulled muscle from five-a-side as he is helping someone rebuild strength and confidence after a hospital stay.

Every appointment is one-to-one and lasts 45 minutes. You can book online at a time that suits, with evening and Saturday appointments available, and there is no need for a GP referral.

Easterhouse

From Seven Lochs to five-a-side: staying active in Easterhouse

Easterhouse has a genuine green link to Coatbridge. The Seven Lochs Wetland Park stretches from Hogganfield in Glasgow to Drumpellier Country Park in Coatbridge, and its trail of around 10km for walkers and cyclists passes Provan Hall, the medieval fortified house beside Auchinlea Park. Lochend Loch and Bishop Loch are part of the same landscape, and Drumpellier hosts a free Saturday parkrun. Long walks and rides over mixed ground are great for fitness, though they can expose a weak ankle, a stiff hip or a knee that does not like hills.

For indoor training, Easterhouse Sports Centre on Auchinlea Road reopened in October 2023 under the community group Easterhouse Henosis, and The Bridge has a swimming pool alongside its library and arts space. Pitches and a hall at Lochend High School add to the options for football and fitness.

Work shapes the body too. Retail, warehouse and office jobs around Glasgow Fort, the Queenslie industrial park and Glasgow Business Park can mean a full shift standing, lifting or sitting, and that kind of load can leave the feet, knees and lower back complaining long after clocking off.

Easterhouse is a collection of neighbourhoods rather than a single place. The M8 runs through it, with Wellhouse, Easthall and Queenslie on one side and Provanhall, Lochend, Blairtummock, Rogerfield and Kildermorie on the other. Provan Hall and Auchinlea Park sit on the Seven Lochs route that runs east to Drumpellier, while Easterhouse station and Easterhouse Road give every part of the area a quick way through to Coatbridge.

Questions

Coming from Easterhouse

How easy is it to get from Easterhouse to the clinic by train?

Very easy. Take a North Clyde line train from Easterhouse towards Airdrie and get off at Coatbridge Sunnyside, two stops along. The journey averages around seven minutes, then it is roughly a kilometre's walk to Cameron Street.

Are Saturday appointments available?

Yes. Alongside evening appointments, Saturday sessions can be booked online, which suits anyone working weekday shifts at Glasgow Fort, Queenslie or further afield.

Is acupuncture available at the clinic?

Yes, acupuncture is one of the treatments Kieran offers, along with cupping and taping. Whether it is suitable for you will be discussed after your assessment.

Do returning patients pay a deposit again?

No. The online deposit applies to new patients when they first book, and it comes off the price. Returning patients simply pay at the appointment by cash or card.

Can physiotherapy help after a stay in hospital?

Kieran has experience in orthopaedics, neurological physiotherapy and cardiac rehab, so he can assess what you need after an operation or illness and build a gradual plan with you. If you are still under a hospital team, keep following their guidance as well.
